Where an article references a specific company, product, or service, we aim to describe its role and general characteristics accurately and clearly note where details vary by plan, region, or provider, rather than stating a fixed fact that may not hold across every case. We do not publish fabricated statistics, invented quotes, or claims of first-hand testing we have not actually performed.

How References to Specific Products and Services Are Handled

When our articles reference named products or services — such as Apple Pay or LifeLock — we aim to explain how that general category of technology or service works, using the named example as a widely recognized reference point. We do not present ourselves as having conducted independent testing of any specific product unless that testing has genuinely occurred, and we clearly disclose our independence from the companies discussed.

Editorial Content vs Advertising
